1. Shooby-doo-wop and Scooby snacks

    shoesonwrong:

my friends, they don’t believe me. If they could only see me. At the risk of sounding cheesy. I think I fell for the girl on TV. Oh LFO. You sounded cheesy alright. On all 3 copies of your albums I bought. *wince*
I wish for you on a falling star
    Wondering where you are
Do I ever cross your mind in the warm sunshine?

This is why you do NOT let your child have access to MTV in 1999. Because ten years later and she will know all the lyrics to LFO’s song “Girl on TV”. I appreciate the attempt to let me have fun by allowing me to watch MTV while mom was out, dad, but I think this may have been an instance where more harm was inflicted.

Also, according to Wikipedia, LFO stands for Lyte Funky Ones.

  2. I was really starting to feel
Bad about what happened to Charity’s toe, wondering why bad things happen to good people, trying to make sense of the whole thing.

Why her.

My poor little girl with her view on life that nothing bad ever really happens.

And I came across this picture. A few months ago, We were in the car and she found a quarter. she wanted so badly to give it to someone.

Anyone.

She started asking who needed a kwo-toe and I finally suggested we take it to somewhere that accepted money for kids in need.

She dropped it into the box for children who lost parents at war, and looked into my purse and asked if I had anymore dollars.

All she does is give.

And make me crazy.

But mostly give.

When she was born I named her Kennedy.

And after spending 2 days with her.

I changed her name to Charity.

She’s always been a giver.

A fighter.

To this day.

She’s never met a person who hasn’t walked away and said what an amazing little girl she is.

I can’t take back what happened to her.

But I don’t for a second worry that she’ll feel sorry for herself.

Her name means Pure love, and giving.

And that’s exactly what this little girl does.

  3. I can only hope that the fact it takes 2 grown men, myself, a medicine dropper, 15 minutes, a pillow, 2 stuffed animals, a towel, and pressure applied to both cheeks to give my daughter the necessary narcotics to keep her pain in check, means that she’s going to have no desire whatsoever to partake of illegal drugs.

Then again. She IS my kid…

  4. My people use every part of the spray whip cream can. And by my people, I mean my child. Who knows how to open the fridge.

I’ve just taken another one for my collection.

No YOU need more friends and less free time holed up in a handicap family restroom while your kids play in the sink.

  9. She’s making her Lego man go to mcDonalds and jump on the bed since she’s not allowed to.
I’d say she’s back to her normal self but she’s not usually this hyper active and confined to the couch and wanting to be entertained and asking for fort blankets ans stories and scooby doo and cereal, and OMG make it stop!

If we make it until tomorrow, she has an appointment to see the Dr.
That’s a big if.

Gotta go. She’s asking me to make her some pancakes with berries and a milkshake.

  10. For those who asked

4 is jumping up and down on her dad’s stomach screaming giddy up as she watches animal planet.

The only thing keeping her from walking are the ropes I’m going to have to attach to her legs if she doesn’t settle down.

    In short.

    She’s going to live :)
